The Cruel Prince is not your usual young adult fantasy book – there are humans, faeries, hateful characters, political intrigue, betrayal and more.
The story begins after Jude Duarte’s parents are slain. Jude is mortal, but she’s then brought to Faerie by her mother’s slayer and ex-lover, one of the most powerful faeries. Here she grows up amongst the children of the other faerie elite, including the young prince of Faerie.
Jude is picked on mercilessly by the Faerie children, and it makes her hate them with a vengeance. She defies Faerie royalty and finds herself embroiled in the Court’s dramas, endangering herself and her family. She then forms a dangerous alliance to protect them.
