Initial Thoughts on Thirteen

This novel has a rather morbid plot line but it sounds like an action packed story that will no doubt keep me engaged for several hours. I’m interested to see what sort of story this will be i.e. will there be any romance, social commentary etc. I also wonder if it’ll be violent in any way and what age this is really suitable for. I’m not sure I’ve ever really read a thriller suitable for younger teenagers but we’ll have to wait and see.
Thirteen seems like more ‘boy’-ish YA, which there really isn’t enough of, so I look forward to getting my hands on a copy! It sounds wildly different to most other young adult books out there at the moment so fingers crossed it lives up to expectations.
